This view of the northern Cuillin mountains (Sgùrr nan Gillean, Am Basteir & Bruach na Frìthe) is perfectly framed by looking across from under the Sligachan bridge. I’ve stopped for this view on so many occasions, but on this particular April morning I was present for sunrise, and it was a magic moment I think about whenever I see this photograph. In my humble opinion this horizon on the Isle of Skye’s is one of Scotland’s most visceral and internationally recognisable, making it all the more powerful to me.
